As of May 2026, foreign nationals visiting Thailand for tourism can enter via a 30-day Visa Exemption (for eligible countries) or apply for a 60-day Tourist Visa. All travelers must complete the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within 3 days before arrival. Most visas are now processed online through the Official Thailand e-Visa website. Key Visa Types

1. Visa Exemption (No Visa Needed): Citizens from over 60 countries, including the US, UK, and EU, can enter for tourism without a visa, typically for 30 days, extendable once by 30 days.
2. Tourist Visa (e-Visa): Allows a 60-day stay, which can be extended for an additional 30 days.
3. Visa on Arrival (VOA): Available for certain nationalities for a 15-day stay, costing 2,000 THB.
4. Non-Immigrant Visas: Required for business, working, education, or visiting family (e.g., O-A for retirement).

Entry Requirements

1. Passport: Validity of at least 6 months remaining.

3. Proof of Funds: May be required to show financial stability (e.g., 10,000 THB per person).
4. Travel Itinerary: Evidence of outbound travel (flight out of Thailand).

Important Notes

1. e-Visa System: Thailand fully adopted an electronic visa system on 1 January 2025.
2. Extensions: Visa extensions must be processed at an Immigration Bureau office in Thailand.
