Hotels

Scandic offer a -10% discount on accommodation for conference guests and the customer can choose which Scandic hotel they go to and can thus influence the room price they pay. You can get the discount with the code below.

Reservations shall be made latest 5 days prior to arrival, and they can be cancelled without costs until 6pm on the date of arrival.

We recommend the following hotels:

  • Scandic Grand Marina (near the dinner place, near the sea in the city centre). You can use a combination of tram no. 4 and 6 to visit our campus.
  • Marski by Scandic (in the city centre). You can use tram no. 6 to visit our campus.
  • Scandic Helsinki Hub (in the city centre). You can use tram no. 6 to visit our campus.
  • Scandic Simonkenttä (in the city centre). You can use tram no. 6 to visit our campus.
  • Scandic Park (1 km from city centre). You can use tram no. 8 to visit our campus.
  • Cheap alternatives:
    • Scandic Hakaniemi. You can use tram no. 6 to visit our campus.
    • Scandic Kallio 2.2 km from our campus. You can use tram no. 8 to visit our campus

Transportation

To get around in Helsinki we recommend you to download the HSL app where you can buy the AB ticket to get around Helsinki with a buss, tram, train or metro. With the ABC ticket you are able to come from the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport to Helsinki by train. We recommend to buy the day ticket with the HSL app with your debit/credit card. The HSL app allows you to easily find tickets and routes: >Apple App Store >Google Play.

If you plan to make several journeys during one day or several days, you can buy a day ticket. You can buy a ticket for 1–13 days. To get to Arcada from the city center use tram 6 to Arabia, busses 55, 71, 75, 77, 78. The bus or tram stop is called Kumpulan campus.
