February 26th-28th, 2014, Porto, Portugal
http://www.rev-conference.org/REV2014/

The general objective of the REV conference is to demonstrate and discuss fundamentals, applications and experiences in the field of remote engineering and virtual instrumentation. With the globalization of education the interest in and need of teleworking, remote services and collaborative working environments now increases rapidly. Another objective of the symposium is to discuss guidelines for education in university level courses for these topics.

This Special Track aims to attract contributions describing research experiences in the use of remote and virtual laboratories within the primary and secondary education levels, in order to discuss and demonstrate the practices or techniques proposed / used in these educational realities. As a result, it is expected a better understanding of positive and negative aspects related to this use and the dissemination of potential projects in similar contexts. The overall objective is thus to provide a forum for discussion and reflection regarding the integration of Information Technology and Communication (ICT) in Basic and Secondary Education and its pedagogy.

Prospective authors are invited to submit their work on the following topics (including but not limited to):

-   Use of 3D Virtual Worlds in Teaching & Learning
-   Virtual and Immersive Learning Spaces
-   ICT and technology-enhaced educational tools for people with special educational needs
-   Use and applications of mobile devices in Education
-   Use and application of Remote and Virtual Labs in Education
-   Laboratory experiments: on-site, at home, remote, virtual, and mobile acessible
-   Integration of ICT tools in Education
-   Didatics of applied educational techniques and methodologies of using Remote and Virtual Labs in the classroom
-   Case studies and projects reporting
